Hello and welcome to my portfolio. My name is Alexander M. Abreu, and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a graduate from Florida International University with a BA in English and a Minor in Journalism. From 2018 to 2025, I worked as a teacher where I specialized in academic content creation, academic writing, and implementing strategies to help ensure my writing was approachable by all demographics, regardless of education, background, or age. Now I’m returning to my roots as a writer and hope to show some of my works to you.
I’d also like to tell you a little bit about myself: I’m an ardent walker – someone who loves to just go for strolls whenever the mood takes me. Walking is such a good way to clear the head and see clearly, and I don’t know what I’d do without my walks some days. I love video games, and have been playing them for 25 years. My current obsessions are World of Warcraft and Cyberpunk 2077 now that I have the free time to sit down and play it. Lastly, I love to travel, and have been fortunate enough to visit a few countries during my short time on this Earth: Canada, Mexico, Honduras, the Dominican Republic. I love meeting the beautiful and diverse people that make up our planet, and it’s my pleasure every time I have the privilege to hop on a plane or on a boat and pay a visit to these gorgeous countries that neighbor ours. Last but not least, I love dogs and all things Australian Shepherd – sorry to any other dog breed out there, but they’re my absolute favorite.
More than anything, though, my biggest take away from this is to show you – my prospective employers – that I’m someone who is diligent. I’m a hard worker, a voracious learner, and I hope to show you the breadth and skill of my writing through these samples. Feel free to peruse at your leisure and enjoy.
